Riding for our Children

The All Things Bike Show, in conjunction with ER24 and Road Rangers, will be organising a charity bike run in aid of The New Jerusalem children's home. The event will start and finish at Gallagher Convention Centre on Sunday 19 February 2012.

Registration for the event starts at 07h00 and the ride begins at 08h00. The route will comprise of a 93 km round-trip from Gallagher. All bikers are welcome at this event, with the purpose of improving the lives of the children at The New Jerusalem Home. More than 35 marshals will be on hand to assist the run and to ensure that it runs smoothly. The registration fee will be R50pp and this will include a cup of coffee, an ATB pin and entrance into the show after the ride. The proceeds of the run will go to the New Jerusalem Children's Home.

The All Things Bike Show will be hosted from the 17 to 19 February 2012 in partnership with the Beeld Holiday Show. Media partners to ATB include Superbike Magazine, Woema, and publicist Daryl Peel. The aim of the ER24 Road Rangers is to render a service acceptable to the cycling and motorcycling community of South Africa to ensure road safety at these events. The New Jerusalem Home is located in President Park in Midrand and looks after 80 children from multiple backgrounds. The home has seen large amounts of development since its opening in 2000 and is in the process of establishing a pre-primary school that will educate children from the community and The New Jerusalem Home.

Charles Wilson, GM - Operations at Gallagher Convention Centre says "The charity run for the children of the New Jerusalem Home provides us with the opportunity to give back to our community. By bringing bikers from all over the Gauteng province and possibly even from other provinces, we can make a difference to the lives of these children.
