Gallagher markets All Things Bike at Rhino Rally

In preparation of the much anticipated "All Things Bike" Show, which is to be hosted in February 2012, the management team of Gallagher Convention Centre attended the Rhino Rally in Harrismith in October 2011. Chief Executive, Adolf Venter, was accompanied by colleagues Charles Wilson, Elaine Crewe and Jan-Hendrik in a weekend of active marketing and at the same time sharing in the passion and fun of the biking world.

The Rhino Rally has been running for the past 30 years. The event is the biggest rally in the country, is owned by Bike SA magazine and bike enthusiasts from all walks of life attended this year's event. Harrismith was home to the 2011 event. It is a social occasion and is said to be the rally that no-one wants to miss. Patrons enjoyed exhibitions, a flea market, live music as well as many competitions, where one of the prizes was a super bike. The rally also allowed bikers to show off on the "shenanigan street", where there was a display of tricks and drag racing. A highlight of the event was the mass ride from the site, around town, down "hooligan-street" and back.

Gallagher staff went waving the "All Things Bike" flag and biking enthusiasts at the rally received branded shirts, bandanas and badges. The anticipation of the ATB show was evident amongst the crowd of bikers as many were spotted sporting their ATB merchandise.. Says Adolf Venter: "It was a very festive event and I believe that our engagement to advance the awareness of ATB has been noticed amongst many bikers. I am positive we will see many of them at Gallagher in February 2012 where visitors to the show will have an opportunity to win the Harley Davidson which we will be sponsoring."

The All Things Bike show will be hosted in conjunction with the highly successful Beeld Holiday Show, which attracted 25000 visitors earlier this year.
